Check out Our two new Kiosk Systems at Niobrara State Park and Lewis & Clark Park at Weigand. These Kiosks were designed to help direct visitors to points of interest in Knox County. The Kiosks will show: Area Attractions, Lodging, Dining, Businesses, plus road conditions, and local weather. The Kiosks are great additions to these State Parks.
Niobrara State Park has 69 camping pads with electrical hook-ups, 50 non-pad sites without electricity, and 19 cabins that can be rented. The park also offers modern restrooms, showers, a dump station, 153 picnic tables, 119 grills, 7 shelters, two of which have electricity, and playground equipment at the campground site. There is also 14 miles of hiking and biking trails, horseback riding, and a swimming pool.
Nebraska's Lewis and Clark State Recreation Area is made up of five separate areas on the south side of Lewis and Clark Lake - Weigand-Burbach, Miller Creek, Bloomfield, South Shore, and Deep Water.
Weigand-Burbach is located near Crofton, NE. The facility has a full-service marina with seasonal dock rentals, as well as short-term courtesy docks and water cycles for rent. There is modern camping with 149 RV pad with 30/50 amp electrical hookups, pull-through sites, dump station, tent camping, swimming beach, picnic shelter, restrooms and showers, and fish cleaning station. Public access boat ramps are available. In the Burbach area, ten fully furnished cabins are available for rent.
Bloomfield - has 36 camping pads with 30 amp electrical hookups and group camping. There are both modern and primitive restroom facilities and a boat ramp which offers lake access.
South Shore - is only an access point to the lake. Parking is available, but there is no camping.
Miller Creek - offers primitive camping, boat ramp, primitive restrooms, and a hiking trail that overlooks Lewis & Clark’s actual campsites.
Deep Water - is only an access point to the lake. Parking is available, but there is no camping and the area is impassable when wet.
Lewis & Clark Marina has 366 paved campsites, 15 cabins, and one rent-a-camper. There are electrical hook-ups and modern restrooms with showers available for campers. There are also places for swimming, skiing, boat ramps, docks, bikes and nature trails, picnic shelters, and grills.
